Saatchi & Saatchi, Los Angeles recently launched this music video as an addition to their hilarious campaign for the Toyota Sienna minivan. At times this music video is painfully embarrassing to watch but still keeps me laughing. Watch more of the content they produced for the campaign on the Sienna YouTube channel.

This story made my day:
In Denmark, Mukhtar the bus driver had a birthday. He worked that day. His regular passengers had an idea.
I admit. This video made me cry big baby tears. And I don’t even speak Danish.
Casually scrolling in Laura Taylor’s gallery makes me crave a digital SLR. Though I very much doubt I could ever get at her level of photographic skill.

Indulge in the animation.
The Greek Crisis Explained, Episode 1
Confused with what’s going on with Greece in relation to the world economy? This animation by NOMINT features a big eyed little girl who represents Greece, a sheep with a dog neck cone as their debt, and fanny pack wearing tourists to play the part of their lenders. I’m doubt this piece will clear things up on the matter, but the animation and artistic style is fantastic.
In Western culture the ability to judge independently with one’s own mind is perceived as a good and sought after trait (Martin et al, 2003). People do not want to be seen as followers who just align to the opinion of the majority without thinking. It is believed a good education includes the ability to think freely with an open and unconstrained mind. But reality often looks very different from perception. People do conform.
As a passionate advocate of the linguistic side of life I enjoy writing and working on essays, articles or reports. This shall become a space which I can use for reflection and thoughts on current (and historic) Economic and Political issues (and other intriguing trivia) - a mere playground of pretentious bliss for my mind.
* Pompy is derived from Pompey, the great ancient Roman general who fought against Julius Caesar after he famously crossed the Rubicon river in company of a legion upon his return from the Gallic military campaigns. This was a breach according to prevalent Roman law. He was then accused of treasury and the senate ordered Pompey to lead its army against Caesar.
